Amazon’s Alliance With Leftist Ideology Is Clear; 2ndVote Shoppers Have An Alternative

Amazon may be America’s most powerful company. Its first-quarter 2018 revenues totaled over $50 billion and it has huge market share in enormous markets such as children’s toys, books, and grocery stores.

Yet with great power comes great responsibility. Amazon has largely refused to use its power to promote and support traditional American values. 2ndVote’s research has found that Amazon has banned the sale of firearms and their accessories, supports the Paris climate agreement, partners with LGBT groups which want to brainwash youth about the definition of marriage, asked the U.S. Supreme Court to force a baker to participate in same-sex “weddings,” and is a member of groups which want to allow men into women’s restrooms.

Our research found that Amazon partners with The Salvation Army, which offsets some of their anti-marriage and anti-life work. But they also stand behind the Equality Act — which would eliminate most religious liberty protections for most Americans in the workplace.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that conservatives who care about their second vote dollars can avoid Amazon entirely and still get great deals with online purchases. Our research shows that Overstock.com — no small player in the market, though it is about 1/100th the size of Amazon — is neutral in the culture wars and sells firearm accessories.

Amazon’s support for left-wing causes is disturbing. Thankfully, this is still America, where those of us with traditional beliefs can put our money behind companies that a) provide a great bargain while b) respecting our values. We recommend Overstock.com as a safe alternative to Amazon.

Their support of Leftist causes is the reason I will NOT buy from Amazon unless there is no other source for what I’m wanting!

    • Red Baron

      There is ALWAYS another source.

      • AmericanMom

Absolutely there are other sources. Today I bought a somewhat spendy hair product that I like a lot on Ebay. It was $5.00 per can cheaper than Amazon. Instead of $41+, my bill was less than $24. That’s a lot of $$ saved simply by pricing it elsewhere. Amazon’s pricing on this (and several other items I’ve purchased recently) are substantially higher for the “privilege” of supposed 2nd day delivery (which is actually usually 3 days. We keep it for the movies (as we got rid of Netflix). If they decide to go full force leftists, we’ll get rid of them too.

  • Red Baron

Back when Amazon sold books, they carried some books that advocated adult-child sex. When moral organizations protested, Amazon tried to wrap that up in the First Amendment and defended selling it. They only pulled it after the protests got louder. Shows you what they support. I have never bought from Amazon and I never will. Bezos will sell ANYTHING legal to make money. He has no conscience.

The Salvation Army supports abortion. It is in one of their documents about UN goals. I soul have to go looking but I can’t take the time right now – sorry!

    • Beth Fitts

      Really?? I doubt it!

      • Canadian Catholic woman

Beth Fitts – I can appreciate your surprise/incredulity/dismay to read my comment that the Salvation Army supports abortion. The info would be in an email from an organization I have subscribed to, but which one? I will see if I can find it. They supplied a link to the document, which I then read. It is about UN goals. It is a heart-breaking world in which we live, for sure.

        • disintelligentsia

Did you read erp617’s reply to Beth Fitts? Salvation Army’s position paper on abortion clearly does not support abortion at all. They stand against it. Read the paper here: http://www1.salvationarmy.org/IHQ/www_ihq_isjc.nsf/vw-sublinks/FE3C992C78838853802577DF0071D796?openDocument

Except in the case of rape or certain death of the child directly after delivery. The latter part I don’t quite understand.

          • Jeff Eastwood

So it’s OK to kill an innocent child if their father is a criminal. That ain’t right.

          • khoregon

            My thoughts, too, Jeff.

you can also use jet.com, which is associated with…gasp…walmart

  • Hammertime

Corporations will take any position that they think will help them profit more. It’s all about $$$ for Amazon.

  • Bluerose11

I can’t stand Bezos. His politics suck. But I can’t get on board with putting tens of thousands of people out their jobs because I hate their boss. That’s SJW crap. I don’t agree with you so I will ruin your life, get you fired and if all possible sue you out of existence. Like that poor bakery owner. I can’t suck into that mentality. Maybe that makes me a little too Libertarian, but this is America and we are ALL allowed to believe what we choose to believe. Even if I think they’re dead wrong. I will not hold every employee of Amazon accountable for their idiot boss.

    • disintelligentsia

If you make purchases elsewhere you are supporting jobs elsewhere — no net loss in jobs. Indeed if you consider that most companies have less automation than Amazon, your purchases will probably increase net employment. Further, if you consider the locations where Amazon distribution centers and offices are located, they tend to be in high population urban areas where off-setting low wage employment (like Amazon jobs) can easily be found.

  • 1noodle

I would love to find an alternative to Amazon, other than Wal-Mart, which is almost as bad, but Overstock is not it. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, nobody can beat the selection, variety, and prices of either Amazon OR Wal-Mart.

  • Colonel_Bob

This article states that Amazon has banned the sale of firearm accessories???

I purchased an Uplula, magazine holsters for my 1911 and a double speed loader pouch from Amazon. Please do your research!!

  • SportsDog

“Amazon has banned the sale of firearms and their accessories”. I don’t know that Amazon ever offered firearms for sale. But I just bought gun cleaning solvents and oils along with cleaning snakes for eight different calibers from Amazon. I also bought ear plugs and a range bag for when I go to the range. I also bought a gun vice, several rubber gun cleaning mats, and multiple tools designed for the building of AR-15s. I’m not sure when they stopped carrying accessories but there are hundreds of holsters and grips available. They could just be waht’s left over after the ban took effect? hmmmm This reads to me like an advertisement masquerading as a news article. Jes sayin. . .

  • I second what others have said. This article is UNTRUE. Amazon does carry firearm accessories — however, not magazines, nor firearms themselves. If you want actual evidence of Amazon’s bias, look to see how they are demonitizing conservative websites — apparently some folks’ money is better than others.

yes….Long Time Ago , before Cultural Marxists took over, Amazon used to sell High Capacity Magazines , pistol and rifle barrels.

The top management of Amazon are a bunch of Cultural Marxists , the Masters of Universe who want shape planet Earth according to their sick perverted image. Here is Pigs’ program in 7 points:

    (1) Support of the Third World immigration and refugee invasion of the West. Cultural Marxists adamantly insist on Third World immigration and refugees for the West, and oppose the deporting of Third World invaders. Support of Third World immigration (both legal and illegal) is the #1 precept of Cultural Marxism.

    (2) The promotion of concepts like anti-racism, diversity, multiculturalism, multiracialism, white privilege, structural racism, etc. All these concepts can traced directly to Cultural Marxism. These concepts barely existed 100 years ago and were popularized by Cultural Marxists beginning in the 1930s.

    (3) The support of transracial adoption. Cultural Marxists vehemently want white people to adopt non-white babies instead of making white babies. In short, they want whites to be cuckolds.

    (4) Cultural Marxists want to insist that things like gender and race really do not exist and are merely “social constructs,” although genetics shows that both do exist.* For instance, using Structure geneticists can easily cluster people into racial groupings.

    (5) Cultural Marxists denote anything they oppose as “hate speech” in order to try to censor it. Cultural Marxists are vehemently opposed to free speech.

    (6) Cultural Marxists adamantly support globalism and oppose nationalism.

    (7) Cultural Marxism is basically an anti-white ideology that supports the dispossession of white people and the eventual “blending white people out of existence” through Third World immigration and race mixing. Cultural Marxism, in essence, is anti-white (i.e. opposed to people of European ancestry).

    • angrywhiteman✓ᵀᴿᵁᴹᴾ

oops forgot about the definition of Cultural Marxism. here it is:

Cultural Marxism: An offshoot of Marxism that gave birth to political correctness, multiculturalism and “anti-racism.” Unlike traditional Marxism that focuses on economics, Cultural Marxism focuses on culture and maintains that all human behavior is a result of culture (not heredity / race) and thus malleable. Cultural Marxists absurdly deny the biological reality of gender and race and argue that gender and race are “social constructs”. Nonetheless, Cultural Marxists support the race-based identity politics of non-whites. Cultural Marxists typically support race-based affirmative action, the proposition state (as opposed to a nation rooted in common ancestry), elevating non-Western religions above Western religions, speech codes and censorship, multiculturalism, diversity training, anti-Western education curricula, maladaptive sexual norms and anti-male feminism, the dispossession of white people, and mass Third World immigration into Western countries. Cultural Marxists have promoted idea that white people, instead of birthing white babies, should interracially marry or adopt non-white children. Samuel P. Huntington maintained that Cultural Marxism is an anti-white ideology. Critics of Cultural Marxism have maintained that Cultural Marxists intend to commit genocide against white people through mass non-white immigration, assimilation, transracial adoption and miscegenation.
