Google has pulled “deceptive” ads for crisis pregnancy centers.
Is Google playing favorites with pro-choice groups? For those who haven’t heard, Google caved to pressure from NARAL Pro-Choice America to pull “deceptive” ads paid for by Crisis Pregnancy Centers. As of Monday, Google has scratched from its search results more than two-thirds of those ads.
The move looks like a bow to aggressive tactics from supporters of abortion and limits choice for women searching for options in difficult circumstances. NARAL is working to limit the options available to these women when they’re searching Google, and Google should not have caved under pressure.
Google has a 1.3 ranking on the 2nd Vote scorecard, making it a liberal company.
