Look Out, Liberals: Young People Prefer Chick-fil-A Over Starbucks

Remember how woke and intolerant of traditional Christian values young people are supposed to be? A new survey shows that a plurality of upper-income and middle-income American teenagers prefer Chick-fil-A over Starbucks (and every other restaurant).

Via Fox News:

Don’t worry, Starbucks. Teens will still need someplace to hang on Sundays, at least.

According to Piper Jaffray’s semi-annual “Taking Stock With Teens” survey, teenagers from homes with an average income of of $68,000 prefer Chick-fil-A to Starbucks for the first time since 2011.

The study found that 12 percent of such teens preferred Chick-fil-A compared to the 10 percent who still preferred Starbucks.

McDonald’s came in third (7 percent) while Chipotle, Taco Bell and Olive Garden tied for fourth (4 percent each).

The study surveyed 8,600 teens living in homes with average household incomes of $68,000.

This is the second top spot for Chick-fil-A in this survey:

Among teens from more wealthy homes, Chick-fil-A retained the top spot after beating out Starbucks in the survey’s last edition in April, Business Insider reported. Chipotle, McDonald’s and Dunkin’ took third, fourth and fifth places in the upper-income category, respectively.

And it’s just one of the many surveys showing that Chick-fil-A’s Christian values include serving its customers exactly what they want:

The study’s findings mark yet another (chicken) feather Chick-fil-A’s cap, after the American Customer Satisfaction Index found it to be the nation’s favorite fast-food restaurant for the third year in a row.

Finally, in perhaps the greatest irony for companies like Starbucks which increasingly seem to think only liberal customers’ values matter, Chick-fil-A’s popularity appears to be growing:

Restaurant Business Online further notes that, despite topping the Piper Jaffray survey in both average- and upper-income categories, Chick-fil-A wasn’t listed among either group’s top five favorite restaurants in 2010.

Left-wing supporters of Starbucks will probably argue that Chick-fil-A’s top status in this group is simply because of dedication among religious customers. However, Generation Z has the lowest rate of self-described Christians and the highest rate of self-described atheists, according to The Barna Group. The famously Christian Chick-fil-A should be less popular than it was in 2010, especially among those in higher-income households — Starbucks’ target audience is almost exclusively those who have discretionary income to spend on expensive coffee and pastries.

The fact is that Starbucks continues to focus on left-wing political activism, which alienates many of their potential customers. Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A’s focus on good food, great service, and being on the forefront of new ideas and concepts is producing results.

Pretty simple…their sandwich is simply the best chicken sandwich in the world. Then you have great service and a company that treats their employees extremely well and it’s no wonder they are so popular.

It is a sorry example of our times when a great company is criticized and denigrated because the CEO and executives are faithful Christians.

  • Gavin

I work at Chick-fil-A in a very liberal area, and yet our line is many times longer than the Wendy’s and McDonald’s stores right next to us 100% of the time. It’s just good.

Sweet revenge on all the degenerates who boycotted and protested Chick Fill -A when its boss announced he believed in traditional marriage.

    • Natureboi

It’s one thing to “believe” in something.
It’s another to work towards taking something away from others.

      • Spectrum

You’re talking about “gay rights” I assume. If you think it’s ONLY about that, you are painfully naive. The gay activist movement uses emotional manipulation, psychological techniques, and media propaganda to push their agenda onto the straight majority. And it’s most definitely an agenda. Here’s an article which explains…..

        • Natureboi

          OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          You are seriously deluded.

No wonder we have a moron in the Whitehouse.
          Cue cuckoo clock now.

          • Spectrum

So where is your counter argument to the article ? Personal attacks are not a counterargument. That’s because you don’t have one, right ? Because you’re a liberal.

          • Natureboi

Just because you hate gay people, that doesn’t mean liberals are wrong.
YOU are wrong for hating gay people.

          • Spectrum

That’s not a counterargument, it’s your OPINION. Opinions are like assholes – everyone has one. Either put forward a credible alternative position, or else you’re displaying your vacous mentality for all to see.

          • Natureboi

Your opinions of gay people and their right to marry is your opinion.

What gays do with their legal affairs (marriage) is none of your business.

    • Natureboi

Sweet revenge on all the degenerates who boycotted and protested Chick Fill-A when its boss announced he believed in traditional marriage.

That’s NOT why they boycotted and protested.
      You have manipulated the story.
You cannot be trusted to be honest.

      • Spectrum

What are you on about ? “Manipulated the story” ? How am I supposed to have done that ?

In 2012, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy confirmed that the company does not support same-sex marriage because it goes against the organisation’s religious values.

In an interview with the Baptist Press, Cathy said at the time:

“We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. We operate as a family business … our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that.”

He later added on “The Ken Coleman Show:”

“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.’ I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”

At the time, these statements were considered controversial. And still would be today, by the perversion supporters. But what is controversial about simply affirming his belief that marriage is ordained by God to be between a man and a woman only ? That is the way it has ALWAYS been throughout history. It is the natural state of affairs, as is heterosexuality itself. It is the radical leftist SJW’s and LGBT groups that aim to change this long held definition, and elevate sinful behaviour to the same level of respectability as true conventional marriage. It’s not and never will be.

        You got your same-sex “marriage” granted via a contrived legal decision, based on a dubious interpretation of a section of the constitution. It was never voted on by electors in ALL THE STATES, as it was required to be. It was imposed on America through judicial fiat by liberal activist Justices. Did you know that Justices Ginsburg and Kagan should not have even been hearing the case ? They had clear conflicts of interest, and were thus REQUIRED BY LAW to recuse themselves ( i.e. to step down ). But they refused ! Story here ;

You didn’t know THIS either, did you ?

These are the facts, whether you like them or not.

        • Natureboi

The reason Chik-Fil-A was protested against and boycotted was NOT because of Dan Cathy’s “beliefs.”

Antonin Scalia should have recused himself because he’s not only a devout Catholic, he admitted to believing in the Devil.

          But that’s irrelevant.
          I have just one question:

Why shouldn’t gay couples be allowed to marry?
          Please provide one rational reason.

          • Spectrum

For Christians and non religious moral minded people, THE most rational reason is what I outlined in my earlier post. Same-sex “marriage” involves the act of homosexuality. Homosexuality is WRONG. This is stated numerous times in God’s instruction book on how we should ( and should not ) live our lives – the bible. It also blasphemes God’s INTENTION for His creation ( i.e. us ) in that marriage is a holy sacrament, a spiritual bond – between a man and woman couple – and God. Homosexuality defiles that bond. It is unnatural and God condemns it.

Commonsense biology should also tell you that male and female genitalia complement each other – they are DESIGNED that way, to facilitate reproduction. If homosexual behaviour was meant to be the norm, humanity would have become extinct by now.

Of course you will ignore the religious aspects, because you ( unsurprisingly ) reject God. So let’s deal with the secular ( non religious ) argument. Whilst gays have an entitlement to the same social rights as straights, and they have attained those rights over the last few decades, the agenda being aggressively pushed by the LGBT activist groups ( the agenda that you deny exists ) want more than mere social equality. They demand CULTURAL equality. They insist on the straight majority not only tolerating, then accepting them, but ( and this is the stage we are at now ) – CELEBRATING their sick behaviour. And they have done this via a concerted media campaign, assisted by government and large leftist corporations. They fully aim to force us to approve of their lifestyle. They expect us to validate it as being on the same moral plane as heterosexuality. And to a large extent they have brainwashed that straight majority into believing that is really only about social justice and equality. Hence we have public opinion polls supporting “gay rights” as a “social justice issue that needs to be addressed”. Referenda in various countries have reflected this change of attitude. But most of these gullible supporters of “rights” and “equality”, have been taken in by what is in effect, propaganda, and don’t understand the deeper issues involved. This is mainly because the media only allow one side of the debate to be aired. Political correctness is rigidly enforced.

            This article, written after the Irish Republic’s referendum a few years ago, analyses what those underlying issues are. And they have disturbing implications for free speech and thought ;

P.S. This will be the last time I will be replying to you. You have shown that you are not using facts and logic, but merely opinions and emotion – traits that are common among leftists. I will not therefore, waste my time arguing with you on such a basis. We will only go aroung in circles. Be objective, and do some research for yourself. Goodbye.

          • Natureboi

Religion has poisoned your creepy sex-obsessed and hate-filled itty bitty little mind.

The links you present are totally full of misinformation, lies and propaganda carefully crafted to invoke animus, fear and hate. This is NOT who and what gay people are and represent. You have been duped, lied to and brainwashed.

You obviously don’t know a single gay person and it’s clear why. You are full of junk “knowledge” and hate. I hope you don’t work with or have access to children.

By the way, you failed to provide a rational reason to deny gay people rights.

Your total lack of understanding of what gay people truly want (poisoned by your religious beliefs) blocks you from seeing gay people as they truly are…
Human beings just like yourself and nothing more..

How sad this is God at the best of his game…teaching society hate for our fellow man for no rational reason..

A so-called “God” that murdered innocent men, women, children, infants and pregnant women.
A so-called “God” that condones slavery and rape.
A so-called “God” that creepily prefers to obsess over and fixate upon what 2 consenting adults do with their genitals while allowing 20,000 children to die every day.
A so-called “God” that created evil, suffering, over 10,000 diseases, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and tornadoes that kill millions.

How pitifully sad this is the best you and your imaginary invisible” God” have.

It will be a pleasure to not hear back from such a bigoted, intolerant, hate-filled, misinformed and under-educated closed-minded individual such as yourself.
