2nd Vote shows alternatives to Mozilla’s Firefox after CEO controversy.
We are one week in to the saga of former CEO of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, who was forced out of his position as a result of the backlash concerning his $1,000 donation made in 2008 to California’s Proposition 8 campaign.
Many articles have been written, opinions spoken and thoughts provoked. It has stirred a lot of controversy, and rightfully so. People should not be persecuted for their beliefs, and Mozilla should be ashamed for their treatment of someone who has actually done amazing work for them for a number of years.
Caving to bullies is not a virtue, and with 2nd Vote, you can make a difference. We have listed three alternatives to Mozilla for your internet browsing going forward. While the alternatives are all on the liberal side of our ratings, at least they are not firing employees for their conservative beliefs.
Alternatives to Mozilla’s Firefox:
- Apple Safari, 2.3 Rating
- Microsoft Internet Explorer, 1.8 Rating
- Google Chrome, 1.3 Rating
