The National Football League was certainly in need of a Christmas Spirit headline after a season marred by player protests and declining viewership. The NFL even joined the misinformation campaign against Georgia’s efforts to protect religious liberty.
TMZ Sports is reporting that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot’s touchdown celebration has led to an 61% increase in online donations to the Salvation Army after Elliot leaped into a giant ‘Red Kettle’ in the 2nd quarter on Sunday. Elliot is an active supporter the Salvation Army, which is known for the iconic ‘Red Kettles’ used to solicit donations during the Christmas season.
At 2nd Vote, we appreciate Elliot and the Dallas Cowboys for promoting the Salvation Army’s mission. We also want to make sure that our members understand that the Salvation Army has affirmed pro-life and pro-traditional marriage values making the organization an ideal charity for conservatives to support.
Many donors have contributed $21 to the Salvation Army in honor of Elliot’s number in recent days. So, even if your gift is $21,000 or 21¢, remember to that you’ll have to visit a retailer #AnywhereButTARGET visit a Red Kettle. See why here.
