Patagonia Owner Calls Trump “Evil” While His Company Continues Funding Planned Parenthood

Yvon Chouinard, the radical environmentalist founder of outdoor apparel company Patagonia, is suing the Trump administration for returning millions of acres of land to the people of Nevada and Utah.

On his way out the door in early 2017, then President Obama issued an executive order designating the Bears Ears National Monument over objections by the Utah government and congressional delegation. Obama’s order also designated the Gold Butte National Monument in Nevada. The designation, which was essentially a land-grab by the federal government, severely restricts recreational and economic use of the land, such as livestock grazing and timber harvesting. Earlier this week, President Trump announced the reduction of the size of Bears Ears and the Grand Staircase-Escalante monument, which was established by President Clinton, and the return those lands to state control. That’s when Chouinard went apoplectic telling CNN:

I’m going to sue him.

It seems the only thing this administration understands is lawsuits.

This government is evil and I’m not going to sit back and let evil win.

Yet, Chouinard ignores the true “evil” perpetuated on millions of innocent lives by his company’s direct financial support for Planned Parenthood.

Earlier this year, 2ndVote uncovered Patagonia’s contributions to the nation’s largest abortion provider. The most recent available forms filed with the IRS show Patagonia donated $12,000 to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and $12,000 to Planned Parenthood of Santa Barbara Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties. Our research found an additional $67,000 in donations in the three years prior (201220132014).

Chouinard’s hyperbole illustrates the left’s moral bankruptcy. The condemnation of federal land policy in the harshest terms while giving Planned Parenthood’s abortion business a pass, and financial support for that matter, demonstrates a clear failure to grasp what is truly evil. At worst, Chouinard willfully chooses cognitive dissonance over moral equivalence.

May God, in his infinite mercy, find a way to forgive us for failing to stop those who sacrifice babies at the alter of “self”.

Corporate, or individual, those who advocate for this horror, are swimming in the blood of innocents.

Our family will be sure not to purchase ANY Patagonia products again. We conservatives have to stick together and not purchase anything from these leftist corporations.

I bought my wife a few Patagonia shirts for Christmas. Now I’m going back to get some more. I’m with Yvon on this one. I’m so sorry that I’m able to see things outside of the radical left or radical right mindset…but not really that sorry…or at all sorry…

I’ve found better shirts at Goodwill, cheaper too.

Chouinard is a wacko tree huger.
Those lands were originally under state control until Obama stole them.

His company is also as bogus as he is.Over priced cheaply made junk that will never be purchased by serious outdoors men and women but hipsters and yuppies. His politics are reflected in his bogus so called outdoor products.
