Nashville, TN – 2ndVote, the conservative watchdog for corporate activism, released the following statement in response to the decision by Enterprise Holdings to discontinue its partnership with the National Rifle Association.
By caving to anti-gun extremists, Enterprise has allowed its brand to be part of the left’s misinformation campaign about guns and gun owners.
Furthermore, 2ndVote’s research has found Enterprise regularly supports leftist organizations that work to undermine the 2nd Amendment. Enterprise is a corporate sponsor of the National Urban League, which has called for a full repeal of “stand your ground” laws. Enterprise has also contributed to the YWCA, a member of the liberal Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
Corporations like Enterprise that choose to support the left’s anti-gun agenda over the rights of millions of gun-owning Americans must understand that consumers also have a choice as to where to spend their dollars. Over 5 million NRA members and 2ndVote followers will now be looking for better alternatives when it comes to their next car rental.
