Planned Parenthood Supporter Aetna to Fund Gun Control Rally

Earlier this week, Aetna announced it would be making a $200,000 donation to the “March for Our Lives” gun control rally that will be held in Washington, DC on March 24th.

CEO Mark Bertolini defended the decision in a statement claiming “gun violence is a public health issue” citing 7,000 annual gun-related deaths of individuals between the ages of 5 and 24.

However, a number Bertolini did not mention in his statement is the 321,384 deaths his company enabled last through its support for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business.

Aetna is listed as a “Matching Gift Organization” by Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, which means despite Bertolini’s virtue signaling, his company helps sustain an a practice that ends hundreds of thousands of lives every year.

The Federalist’s Christopher Jacobs slammed Aetna for the inconsistencies on these issues:

On Twitter Thursday evening, I asked Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini if he considers abortion a public health issue — the company’s stated reason for contributing to the March for Our Lives. If Aetna purportedly cares so much about gun violence, it should similarly care about violence against the unborn. But I won’t hold my breath waiting for Aetna to contribute to the March for Life, or any other pro-life cause.

Don’t expect Aetna or Bertolini to address how Planned Parenthood and the overall abortion industry provides cover for other “public health issues” like human trafficking and sexual exploitation either.

Help us show Bertolini how his company is responsible for the most violent act against young people in this country. Reach out to Aetna using the links below and tell them: Stop supporting Planned Parenthood’s violence!

Supporting unlimited access to guns and at the same time fighting for the lives of unborn children is also inconsistent. 2nd amendment rights and constitutional right to abortion sound very similar to me – both are not pro-life stands.

Protecting gun rights is saving people. Prolife is protecting people. Firearm Unlawful possession homicides 8510 per year #8 .
      #1 abortion= 926200 #2 smoking = 480000 #3medical errors= 250000 #4 drugs =52404 #5 second hand smoke = 41000
      #6 vehicle accidents = 35398 #7 alcohol = 30722 #9 = blunt objects, fists, poison explosives, etc. = 2295 knives = 1544
      # 10 firearm lawful possession 1106. gun all by its self = 0.
DO you really think more laws will change things ? ” Maybe a law that says ” criminals have to follow all the laws on the books”
that should really stop them.” Getting rid of gun free zones so people aren’t sitting ducks and arming people to protect is a better idea.
Do you have any idea how many countries own government have killed thousands of their own people? Do you know how many in Chicago with the most gun laws have died in a month? I know there were 57 in one month, which is not unusual for them. Also unlimited Access?? Have you ever read all the gun laws??
